Physical Description: Tim is short in stature with a lean, hard body. He has black hair and deep blue eyes. His body is covered in various scars from his life as a superhero, the most notable of those being a knife wound to the thigh, a bullet wound in his left side, a series of surgery scars on his right arm where a dozen pins were placed in, and a dark scar across his neck where his throat was once slit. When not in costume, Tim looks rather non-descript: good looking but not memorably so. When in costume his posture and manerisms change so that he seems more intimidating. Tim's current Robin costume is a well armored red body suit with black gauntlets and black Tabi "ninja style" boots. The cape is black lined with yellow and has scaloped "feathers" along the bottom. His mask is domino style with Starlite lenses that can switch between a plain opaque to night vision mode (Where they glow green).

Suit details: Kevlar and nomex weave makes the material fire resistant and provides some level of bullet proofing. Further armorments in the chest and back make torso safe from everything but a large caliber or hollow point at short range. Left gauntlet includes an imbedded blackberry computer. Right gauntlet conceals a lockpick kit. The "R" logo on his chest is actualy a stylized shirken (ninja star) and several other shirken are held in a hidden pouch inside the top parts of his boots. Utility belt contans the following: Zipstrip flexi-cufs, smoke pellets, de-cel jumplines with a gas propelled firing mechanism, medical kit (epi-pen, antibiotics, bandages, scissors), a modified swiss army knife, miniature digital camera, cell phone in case radio link fails, re-breather with 10 minute supply capability if the air scrubber fails, small laser cutter and suction cup for cutting into windows, batarangs (three regular, one exploding for emergencies), bolos, basic fingerprinting kit (powder, imprint strips), small pen and note pad, self destruct mechanism so if belt is removed in the wrong manner it will explode. Also tucked into belt is a telescoping bowstaff with a small catleprod in one end. Mask includes starlite lenses, night vision capability, and imbedded recording capabilites (for sending radio transmitions or recording confessions). Cape is weighted so it can be slung as a weapon, and is also made with fireproof nomex materials. The colar of the cape is armored to protect against future neck injuries. Under the suit, Tim wears a specialy designed under armor that helps regulate body temperature and uses thin tubing to chemicaly cool or warm the suit. All together, the suit weighs 50 lbs, but as Tim has trained and worked in it for 5 years, he is used to the weight and hardly notices it.

Canon History for the Character: Timothy Drake has always had a very analytic mind. He is among the very few, and definitely the youngest, person to deduce the true identity of The Batman. When he was just 9 years old, he saw Batman and Robin on the news and recognized the graceful movements of the Boy Wonder were identical to that of his long time hero and neighbor, Dick Grayson. Tim kept an eye on the exploits of Batman and Robin, and seeing the crisis in the Dark Knight following the death of the second Robin, Jason Todd, Tim confronted his idol Grayson, demanding that Dick take the mantle of Robin back up again and save Batman from the downward spiral into ruthlessness he’d been making. Dick attempted to help Batman as Nightwing, but a Robin was still needed. Tim stole the old Jason Todd costume and saved the day. Batman then reluctantly agreed to train Tim on a provisional basis.

As Robin, Tim proved to be a very astute detective. To bring his physical abilities to par with his mental, Tim trained with everyone from Batman to Alfred to the assassin Lady Shiva. Tim’s mother was murdered and his father handicapped shortly before Tim took to the streets as Robin. During the time of his father’s recovery from a coma and paralysis, Tim met and fell in love with another teenaged masked vigilante, Stephanie Brown AKA The Spoiler. He also made good friends with fellow sidekicks Kon-El AKA Superboy and Bart Allen AKA Impulse/Kid Flash. Tim along with Kon and Bart formed the superhero group Young Justice. The YJ was disbanded after tragedy struck while the younger teens were teamed up with the now 20-something Teen Titans. When the Titans reformed, Tim and several of his former Young Justice allies joined the new group. While Tim’s father recuperated and remarried, he decided to take a larger role in his son’s life, only to find that his son was aloof and inaccessible. Tim managed to keep being Robin a secret until his father found his costume stored in the back of his closet. Tim’s father made him retire the mask for a while, and Tim’s girlfriend Stephanie took over the mantle of Robin. Stephanie was fired shortly afterward and, after much talk with his father, Tim took the position back up. The first true blow to Tim’s life came when Stephanie, in an attempt to reprove herself to Batman as an ally, was murdered by the cultist warlord Black Mask. A few weeks later, Tim’s father was murdered by second rate super-villain Captain Boomerang. Tim, now an orphan, turned to his friends in the Titans for support, in particular he drew strength from his best friend Kon-El.

Last year, a renegade Superboy from another dimension wreaked havoc on Earth, leading to many great losses. The worst of these hit Tim the hardest: Bart Allen’s loss of his super speed and forced retirement and Kon-El’s martyrdom. Tim was utterly lost following the death of his best friend, it was simply one blow too many. Feeling he had nothing to lose, Tim built a lab under the remnants of the Titans East tower and began attempts to clone a new Superboy. He traveled for a while with Batman and Nightwing and on his return to Gotham, was framed for murder by none other than his once friend and ally Cassandra Cain/Batgirl. Cassandra’s betrayal was the last straw to Tim’s already fragile emotional state. He threw himself recklessly into his attempts to clone Superboy and just as one attempt appeared to be successful, an explosion destroyed Tim’s lab, the newly formed clone, and shot Tim out of his own reality.
